Meet 2016-2017 APSA Congressional Fellow Jeremy Gelman

Jeremy Gelman, PhD – University of Nevada, Reno

Jeremy Gelman is an Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Nevada, Reno. His research examines the U.S. Congress and presidency with an emphasis on how policymakers select which issues they prioritize on their legislative agendas. He has studied the phenomenon of dead-on-arrival bills, presidential policy programs, and how party competition in Congress affects polarization. Jeremy received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan.
